The birds are all singing and I have seen sparrows with nesting material so they are thinking spring is in the air.
I shall soon have to bring my ewes in they are like barrels and there are signs that we soon will have some baby lambs .so we need some warm weather to get that grass growing.
The other day at about 7.00 in the morning I saw a barn owl swoop down for a bunny ,unfortunatly he got bombed by a crow so abandoned it and flew straight towards me across the field ,what a fantastic sight.
The little owls and barn owls are doing a lot of talking in the evenings I just love to hear them.We must put up a box.
Mr Hockney and country file are certainly good for the area ,lots of walkers are booking in ,Lets hope they enjoy the walk and our beautifull countryside .looking forward to meeting them all.

( 3 / 5 )What a lovely day today, it feels like spring is here but we shouldn't get too xcited we could get plunged into freezing temps by the weekend .
I have been doing lots of gardening the bulbs are all showing so I have been clearing all the rubbish from last year, there is lots.
We thought we had escaped any damage whith all the high winds last week,but the green house ended up with a bay window it had moved 6 inches , it did look serious but fortunatly I have a very cleaver husband ,so after only removing all the roof glass we were able to ease it back with a spade .Some glass got broken but not too much we have been very lucky.

Rob and I have just had a few days at Barnsdale Lodge Rutland.WOW was it windy we nearly got blown away. We had a lovely rest lovely food and good wine .
We did some walking around the rutland water visited a few pubs, well somebody has to . Max had a lovely time too.
Now ready for the new year , lets hope we have lots of sunshine .see you all soon.

( 3 / 28 )Christmas is comming fast ,looking forward to it. trees up ,cards sent,prezzies nearly all sorted.The boys are all excited ,even the big ones.
The geese have been flying high this week I just love to hear them when i'm walking max out in the morning.
The sunrises have been just fantastic too,what a differance a year makes!!!!.
We are open all over christmas and look forward to seeing you.
